Google’s suggested completions to “why”
I use Firefox, and started typing a question into the search bar. I got distracted after I had only typed in “why”, and here are the results that google suggested:
Google Map Overlays

This Google Maps mashup lets you see an outline of one part of the world overlayed on another part of the world. For example, you can sketch an outline of California in the “Reference Map” below, and then overlay the outline over Japan in the “Comparison Map.” Whatever you draw in the top map stays centered in the bottom map.
Basically, this is a totally awesome way to compare geographic locations in terms of area, visually.
Google: Tribute to Our Moms
No search could find better moms than these.
We wish you a very happy Mothers Day, with love and thanks for all you’ve done.
Restrict Google Image Search Results to Human Faces Only
Anyone need a bunch of face images? Fake ID makers? Looking to populate your facial recognition database?
With the imgtype=face parameter, Google Image Search restricts results to human faces only.
Example:
Search for Joe without imgtype=face
Search for Joe with imgtype=face
Now look way down in the results, like page 9. Imgtype=face is still faces, while the regular search includes things like coffee and beaches.
